Naofumi Iwai - Co-Founder and CEO
Naofumi oversees all operations and is also working on several e-commerce development agreements with partner companies. Prior to joining the Orinoco team, Naofumi led Disney Internet Group’s e-commerce division for Japan where he oversaw all aspects of the business including site production, merchandising, marketing, logistics and customer care. He also managed the home & kitchen category and Marketplace teams at Amazon Japan. Naofumi holds a B.A. from Waseda University and a M.B.A. from the University of Arizona.

Taku Harada - Co-Founder (CEO of Peatix, Inc.)
Taku founded Orinoco together with his former colleagues at Amazon, and has served as its CEO since its inception. Taku also held the position of Representative Director and CEO of YOOX Japan until August 2009. Prior to YOOX, Taku held various positions at Amazon Japan including head of its mobile and online marketing divisions. He also launched the iTunes Music Store in Japan while at Apple in 2005 and led its marketing team. Taku began his career at Sony Music Entertainment’s international business affairs division in Japan. He holds a B.A. from Yale University.

Emi Takemura - Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer
Emi manages marketing activities for Orinoco K.K. and its partner companies. In addition, she is one of the consulting staff at Orinoco K.K. with her breadth of background in management consulting and internet business. Prior to joining Orinoco, Emi was a Marketing Director at Disney Interactive Media Group in Japan, where she was a management staff. She also held management positions at both Excite Japan and Amazon.co.jp. Before joining the internet industry, Emi was a management consultant at Monitor Company as well as at McKinsey&Company in the U.S. and Japan. Emi holds a B.A. from Keio University and M.B.A. and M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton School/Lauder Institute).

Yuji Fujita - Co-Founder and Head of Sales
Yuji is responsible for content and client acquisition for the Wikitt business. Prior to joining Orinoco, he was the youngest manager at Amazon Japan’s Services team, focusing on client acquisition for its Marketplace division. Yuji holds a B.A. from Keio University.

Nathaniel (Nate) Heinrichs - Senior Software Engineer
With over 10 years of experience in software design, Nate is responsible for all aspects of development at Orinoco K.K. Prior to joining Orinoco, Nate was a Senior Security Engineer at IBM Internet Security Systems working with Perl and Java. He holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan.

Fumiaki Yoshimatsu - Programmer
Fumiaki is a programmer working primarily for PeaTiX, the company's premere online event management service. He was the first of Amazon Web Services Technical Evangelists at Amazon.co.jp since 2004 for a few years before moving to Six Apart KK as Director of Engineering. He was promoted to Corporate Officer at Six Apart by 2009 but his love was still with writing code to solve problems, which ultimately let him knock the door of Orinoco K.K. He holds a B.A. from International Christian University Tokyo.
